BENEFITING CHARITY
This event will benefit the Denver Harlequin Wheelchair Rugby (HWR) Team.
Wheelchair rugby is an exciting, competitive sport and the players are amazing athletes and incredible people. Most of the players were injured in an accident of some kind (car, sports, etc.).
Imagine how being able-bodied one minute and then confined to a wheelchair the next minute would impact someone's life. That someone could be anyone (including you or me).
Simply stated, Harlequin Wheelchair Rugby gives injured athletes purpose. Many of them have said the sport has changed their lives and has made it worth living.
We want to help increase the awareness of disabled athletes and the sport of wheelchair rugby. If you have never seen the sport played live, you're missing out. When they say, "The Hit's Not Real Unless It Bends Steal," they're serious. We'll show you a video of their national competition during halftime and we guarantee you'll be amazed.
